Open your Literature textbooks. Go to Romeo and Juliet. Find the picture of Romeo holding a torch.
But, wait! You've been duped. That's not Romeo; that's...
LUKE SKYWALKER!!!!!!
It IS!!! It's creepy. And while we're on the subject of Star Wars lookalikes... if you have a Latin 1 textbook, find the picture of Cornelius writing letters. But, it's not Cornelius... it's Emperor Palpatine!!!!
Incidentally, the Latin book also includes a picture of Mercury giving someone the finger, Spock pretending to be Cornelius, a cherub pretending to be Sextus, Aurelia pretending to be Megan, and Aurelia turning into one of those creepy veela bird things.
Also, Davus gets younger over the course of the chapters he appears in, there are way too many people in hot pink tunics, and Marcus NEVER looks 16. Also, the dogs in the "Capture" chapter are all distinct modern breeds. Have a nice day.
Yep.

That is not Luke Skywalker; it's ZAC EFRON!
Seriously, doesn't he look like him?
I want to see your Latin book, though. Apparently, I'm a veela named Aurelia. Hey, that sort of rhymes... a little...

Okay, it's some strange mixture of Luke Skywalker and Zac Efron...
But still...
About your signature... if you're anticipating the world to be blown up, you wouldn't look surprised anyway.

I feel horrible... I never knew there WAS a Darth Maleval. Personally, I think they should have stopped at Vader and Sidius. I don't really think Maul or anyone else was really all that necessary; they could have just twisted the plot and made a different character do all of his other stuff.
But then, I personally blame Mike Celestino.

with the latin text books...I could never tell who was who...and all of the people in the pictures are a little scary for some reason...to me at least....of course back at Irving we never really learned/understood what was happening in each story so we had many issues w/ that book (and the teacher)....I hated it much....

There are no stories in my German book. Just liberal propaganda. (I'm not kidding-- all of the sections of our book are centered around distinctly liberal themes. We spent the last two quarters working on learning about ways to help the environment.) I find that very, very funny for some reason.

Schmergo... you've just made me rant about Star Wars...
Oooookay, don't feel bad you don't know who Darth Maleval is. He's from this obscure comic that takes place thousands of years after the first trilogy featuring a guy named Cade Skywalker... a druggie ex-Jedi who can bring people back from the dead.
Darth is a Sith thing... it's a title... that's like saying they should have stopped with the teachers at Hogwarts after Dumbledore because the Professor thing was getting old. Maul was very necessary. The whole point was that he was a Sith lord, and they were back. Besides, Sidious needed an apprentice due to the Rule of Two ("There shall be two, master and apprentice: one to embody power and one to crave it"- Darth Bane) So... he had to be there. But yeah... the Sith are an organization just as old and constant as the Jedi, so there sort of have to be more than two of them over time.
Can you tell I like Star Wars? And specifically, the Sith? XD

Aku, I know that Darth is a Sith title. I just meant that there shouldn't have been so MANY major Sith villains in Star Wars. I think there are so many characters that could feasibly be cut from any book or film-- including my own, sadly-- and I think there are too many Jedi council members with names as well. It's all very well and good to have a lot of creepy humanoids hanging around, but to give them names confuses the brain.
For example, did anyone else here get confused by the book "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" on their first reading? There were lots of new characters introduced, and some of them had similar names. I remember getting Karkaroff, Crouch, and Krum confused, and I'm sure you can imagine how that completely changed the story for me! (Of course, I used to get Tybalt and Benvolio confused, mainly because my brain is rather similar to a balloon with a big hole in the side.)
Another example of that was in the Sideways Stories from Wayside School series. I just could not keep those kids straight! There was a Joe and a Jason and a John and a Ron and a Rondi and a Rodney and a Deedee and a Beebee and so on and so on. My brain was turning into a pretzel just trying to remember who was who! If they stuck to just six or seven main characters and just referred to the others in general and not by name, I'd have preferred that. The same goes for another book by the same author, "Holes." I kept getting Zig-Zag and Zero and Rex and Armpit confused.
The first time I saw "Cats", I couldn't tell Pouncival from Tumblebrutus, or Munkustrap from Alonzo, or Electra from Etcetera, or Jennyanydots from Jellylorum, or Bombalurina from Demeter, or Plato from Admetus, but frankly, it doesn't really matter who's who in "Cats!"
Anyone else have an example of such things?

i still mix up them greg and forge characters (and they r like me favs from hp)
i still dont know half of the sw characters names
i get the 2 hobbits, mary and pippin, mixed up
but what's really sad is still cant remember like any/half actors/actresses by any name other than their charcacter names

The first trilogy (episodes 4 through 6) took place 19 years after the end of the second one (1 through 3). The Cade thing takes place a loooooong time in the future, with Cade being the descendent of Luke Skywalker.
Okay... I got the Wayside people mixed up too... but still... everybody with a name in Star Wars was either very important or later had at least one book written about them that goes into detail. Besides, you must admit it's cooler for the random alien in the background to be named Aayla Secura than Alien Girl Number Four, even if you never hear their names spoken. Having lots of characters makes it realistic, O Schmergo, so they really couldn't be cut.
Besides, there are only 4 Sith villains in the movies. That's not even one per film.
Yeah. The Sith are cool. Then again, so is everything SW-related.
I'm going to assign everyone a Star Wars species to be... if you want to know what it is, look it up.
Schmergo- You can be a Twi'lek... you lucky duck, you. Vam- Wookiee Twi- Mon Calamari Kane- Melodie Me- Zabrak Sal- Chiss Dylan- Nagai Wickedgrl- Ewok Broker- Cerean Catherine- Togruta Zim- Zeltron Xero- Balosar Kadaj- Neimoidian Heart- Bothan Russell- Nautolan Kloud- Iktotchi Frikanzee- Anzat

Cool, Twi'leks rely upon pirates for commerce...
Not to offend you, but were you TRYING to make some sort of ironic point with the Twi'lek thing? Because they're really awesome looking, but... from what I've read about them, they're basically all trophy wives and female slaves who are objectified to make people in power look good. And... well, let's just say that being the feminist here, I'm not overly thrilled with that.
Still, the Twi'leks have truly cool tentacle things, and they're pretty and come in neon shades, which is always fun.
How exactly did you determine who is of which species, because some of these choices seem rather odd!

Actually, I just thought you would look the coolest as a Twi'lek... face it: how many people would actually look good with neon skin and lekku? Hehe... I get horns though.. and two hearts. For Vam's... I think it was her hair. Basically, I picked the species based on who would look best as one of them. Heh. I'll go back and add in the rest of the people.
