Aku, while Sev has many wonderful qualities, he would be quite a creepy boyfriend. Remember that after he and Lily had a falling out, he SLEPT OUTSIDE THE GRYFFINDOR COMMON ROOM.
He cried over a picture of her and then stole it, ripping it apart from the picture of her husband, sixteen years after she died.
Some would call it flattering, but it is CREEPY. Really.
Plus, he tortures Muggle-borns and stuff and just doesn't care as long as it's not Lily-- how long would you put up with a boyfriend who's so cruel to people who aren't from wizarding families (such as all of your friends) except for you?
He's smart, he has an interesting sense of humour, he's talented and can hold an interesting conversation, but he's not someone you want as a boyfriend.

Correction: He's not someone YOU would want as a boyfriend.
Severus Snape is rather awesome. Yeah. I'm too tired to write a full rebuttal of your Snapeflawlist right now, but the short version is that we disagree on the creepiness thing. And the torturing Muggle-borns thing.
SEV IS MY NAME FOR HIM!!! You can't have it. Neither can J.K. Rowling, for that matter. Or Lily Evans. *makes a face* It was mine first. MINE!!!!
Yeah. Good night.

While we're on the topic of Snape, I have a major gripe with Deathly Hallows:
That part when he steps out from behind the suit of armour and says "It is I."
He wouldn't do that. It isn't a question of grammar, as Schmergo thought when I brought it up earlier, because if he were to say anything, it would be "It is I" as opposed to, say, "It's me" or "Snaperdoodles here!" but... he wouldn't say anything at all. It would be stating the obvious just to be theatrical, which he doesn't do.
It's soooooo out of character and it makes me mad!!!!! *bangs head against wall*

Aw, c'mon, when I was in seventh grade, I wrote that story with McGonagall and Snape tangoing where she called him Sev. 'Sev' is the only sensible nickname for someone named Severus. Except possibly "Russ."
I think Snape is a great character, but as a person, he wouldn't be my type. He reminds me of a more intelligent version of The Horrible Blake From Oklahoma. Now I'm all curious to hear why you like him and stufff. (Because I KNOW you don't like Snape because of an Alan Rickman crush, and that's why most people like him.)
And you're right, I don't think Snape tortures Muggleborns, I don't know why I wrote that-- what I meant is that he supports it. Yurp.
I kind of liked the "It is I." I know it was dramatic, but the thing is, SNAPE is dramatic. Don't you get that vibe from him? Although he usually uses Occlumency, all of the emotions that he shows are wayyyy over the top (whose face contorts furiously with loathing? His does almost every chapter of PoA) and he always seems to appear dramatically and swish his robes theatrically and use ellipseseseses... for dramatic... effect.

If I were to date a series it would definately be the Wheel of Time....or the Ender series...........
Snape is dramatic....it does seem like a natural thing for him to do.........except that the grammer does sounds a little weird out of context.....
I use a lot of elipses to....but not for dramatic effect.....I couldn't be dramatic to save my life......

When you said he'd say it over "It's me!" or "Snaperdoodle's here!" I imagined two bizarre things:
(a. Snape bursts out from behind the suit of armour and sings, "IT'S MEEEE! So, if you care to find me, look to the western skies! As someone told me lately, everyone deserves a chance to FLY! *Flies out of window, leaving Snape-shaped window*
(b. Snape bursts out from behind the suit of armour and sings, "MY NAME IS LANCELOT! I'M BIG AND STRONG AND HOT! OCCASIONALLY I DO SOME THINGS THAT I SHOULD NOT!"
Actually, the whole song "Defying Gravity" is perfect for El Snape-o. And, um, he's basically Elphaba in general, except for the gender bit.

Elphaba Snape is a cool name.
Yes, he's sort of dramatic, but... I don't know... that "It is I" thing really bothered me and I can't quite put my finger on why... *is annoyed*

Kind of like how "IT IS I, REMUS JOHN LUPIN!" is so bizarrely hilarious.
Maybe it's just because we American teenagers do not normally use such gramatically correct phrases as "it is I" that it seems weird to say it.

Well, as I said, it isn't the grammar. He could jump out and say, "'Tis me, the Snapester!" and I wouldn't be any less irritated. More, actually. I just don't think he would say anything.

That was soooo incredibly random!!!!!!!!!!
Another tidbit of randomness....Artemis fowl is going to be a graphic novel......I'm probably going to hate how he looks.........not that I'd ever read it, but if I saw a picture....

I saw some pictures. I don't really like them... but I still think it's cool! Artemis Fowl is very action packed; it's suited to be a graphic novel.
Or a movie *nudge*
I want Freddie Highmoore for Artemis. That kid is my favourite ever.

No, but seriously, I went to see Hairspray the other day, and two of the movies in the previews had Freddie Highmoore in them.
Can you believe that dude is my age? In fact, he's older than me.
