YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
Ish good, but it seemed a little like filler between New Moon and the next book. I am still uber angry at Bella for picking Edward over Jacob.
Yeah.

NOTHING is better than Harry Potter. I happen to be a member of mugglenetfanfiction (that's how i got on here, thanks, Schmergo!) Twilight is cool though...but harry is hotter (:

Harry Potter does indeed trump Twilight, I'm afraid. Any new movie casting news? *is out of the loop*
Presumably, Harry WOULD be hotter than Edward, literally speaking. XD But, honestly, both of them irritate me. They're such stereotypical teenage guys, and Edward doesn't even have the excuse of actually being a teenage guy.

I LOVE Twilight. but I agree w/ Aku and cline.Harry Potter is one of the most awesomest things that has ever happened to the world!!!!!!! and it makes me quite happy. :] oohh and Robert Pattinson (coincedentally Cedric in HP movies) is Edwart and Kristen Stewart (Zathura?) is Bella.

I like Harry Potter better than Twilight, too. In fact, if it wasn't for Harry Potter, I wouldn't be here (thanks, Schmergo for posting a link to this site in your bio!). So, anyway, I think Bella should've picked Jacob instead of Edward! Seriously, Jacob's hotter! *has werewolf fangirl moment* Sorry, I've had a soft spot for werewolves since, uh, first grade, I think. This also has to do with Harry Potter. Out of the Twlight series, my favorite is New Moon.

I've never actually read Twilight; I attempted the first book but just couldn't get into it. It does make me feel like a bit of a terrible person. However, I AM madly in love with the Harry Potter books. Kudos to y'all who joined through my fanfiction page-- you people are lovely.
And I like Harry. He has a very interesting personality, it's just difficult to describe. He's more than "hero guy," he's got this kind of nonchalant, normal, sarcastic attitude that makes him interesting and realistic. I like Ron more, but I do like Harry.

I think that Twilight is totally awesome but I think Harry Potter is totally awesome too, but the fandom is kinda dying down (except in fanfiction!!!!) cuz nobody is debating whether jkr has dropped anvil sized hints or not. I think Twilight is a loverly complement to HP and also just cuz EDWARD CULLEN IS HOT!!!

See, but hp isn't dying down, now with the whole rdr suit and movie 6 coming out in Nov. And Dan Radcliffe is ugly. Huge fangirl, love HP, love Twilight, hate Dan with a passion. EDWARD is crazily sexy and so is Robert Pattinson. I love Harry Potter more only because I've had more time to love it..... So don't be mad at me. I don't know what Iwould've done if I was Bella, though. Jacob, Edward, Jacob, Edward.... EMBRY!!!!

One thing I like about Harry Potter- it's not confusing like Twilight. None of this 'pick a side' nonsense. Okay, maybe there was some "OMG what about Snape?!?!?" before the 7th book came out, but all in all you know where you stand. Twilight is so... arg! I love it anyway, though. *loves Jacob* Ever heard of Kaleb Nation, the Twilight guy? He is totally awesome. He just finished reading Twilight and just started new moon. www.twilightguy.com You should probably check it out.

I've just skimmed all three books (I read half of the first one awhile ago, but now my sister's got all three and I kind of flipped through all three of them), and I've come to the conclusion that I despise Edward more than I ever could've thought possible. Here's the kicker, though-- I don't like Jacob, either. I still like him more than Edward, but I'd hate to have him around. He's vaguely sexy, but mostly just scary and a little bit annoying. And I actually had a nightmare about him squeezing me to death. The only character I like is Emmett. The third book was the worst of the bunch. Second was the best because Edward wasn't there to ruin everything for most of it, but I still really did not like it.
My sister read all three as well (though I skimmed, she really read closely), and she vaguely likes the books, but she also hates Ed and Jacob.
Aku once called Jacob "Ted on steroids." Honestly, to me he seems more like Tyrone on steroids, with the werewolfish traits as a bonus. And Edward is some kind of creepy Jordan on steroids. But I like both Tyrone and Jordan, and I don't like either of these boys. I think the problem is, they're both toooo dramatic! It's so irritating. Everyone's dramatic in these books. No one acts like normal people would... in any situation. And no one talks normally. The writing's painfully bad.
The Twilight books are not the worst books I've read by a long shot, but they're probably still my least favourite because they're much more popular than the other terrible books I've read. How do people like them so much? How do they like EDWARD? To me, he seems like the most blatantly unappealing character-- as though the author is putting him in there as an example of the worst possible boyfriend a girl can have. In fact, I think that's what she IS doing, and the other girls just aren't picking up on it at all. He's downright repulsive. Pale, cold, hard, formal, serious? He sounds like everything repugnant... there's nothing fun or entertaining about him.
I know Bella's going to get together with Jacob in the end, we all do, and somehow I don't care.

A couple months ago two of my friends recommended the Twilight series to me. I decided to read the first book which was okay-ish, but I didn't love it or anything. So, I read the second one too and now I really have no desire for the third one. Honestly, I cannot stand Edward. I told this to my two friends and they were like "OMG! How can you not like Edward? He's soooo gorgeous and wonderful and amazing!" But, the thing is, he's not. I do like Jacob a little bit more, but he too is insanely annoying.
Like Schmergo said above, the characters are waaaaay too over dramatic and no one acts like normal people (I understand that Edward and Jacob aren't exactly normal but still...) And yeah, there is nothing fun about Edward. And Edward/Bella's relationship is the most boring thing ever. All Bella ever does is obsess over Edward, kiss Edward, be close to Edward, and get into dangerous situations only to be saved by Edward.
It also irks me to no end how almost every single page Bella is thinking something along the lines of "Gosh, Edward is soooo gorgeous" and the author describes what he looks like and his eyes waaaaay too many times. We get that his eyes are gold. We. Get. It. Seriously, we don't need reminding every other page.
My friends want to bring me to the movie when it comes out, but I really don't know if I'll want to go.

That advertisement for the movie looks awful! For some very strange reason, I imagined Bella looking like America Ferrara (sp). I don't know why.

I just read the first two books. My favorite character is a tie between Bella (when she's not thinking of Edward), Jasper, and Alice. I hate Edward too. In the first book I could stand him, but in the second I hated his guts. I don't know what Bella sees in him, unless her type is a guy with absolutely no sense of humor. Besides how could you love a guy who's first instinct is to rip you to shreds and eat you for a snack? If Alice weren't a vampire or a fictional character, she'd probably be my best friend. Jacob is cool, he just has this really creepy crush on Bella, and wont let it go; actually because of that, he kind of reminds me of Tyrone too. Jasper is just cool, don't ask me to explain, I can't. - H.G.
