Okay, get this. Acrooss the Universe is a musical, but it's made up of Beatles songs! Huzzah! Yes, it has an actual plot. And in the words of Eddie Izzard as Mr. Kite, "Have you seen it? It's great, they got..stuff." NOTE: This movie is PG-13 for a reason, it gets a little inappropriate at times. Despite its brilliance, you might want to be a bit cautious with this movie.

Hmmm... I've been a Beatles fan since I was born...(My mom was a Beatles fan since she was born and just passed it down) But I truthfully didn't enjoy the movie as much as I would have...
My GF is a crazy Beatles fan as well and she insisted that I watch the movie...So finally after our AP world test a few weeks back we left school early to go to her house and watch it...And I was really disappointed...
First off, you can cover the Beatles but you can never "Cover" the Beatles the songs were nothing compared to the originals and the only thing that they had going for them was the ramped up guitar...
The storyline was iffy as well and the final scene (The people in the movie playing on a roof like the Beatles in famed "Rooftop performance" after recording the album "Let it be") Made me just drop my jaw in awe that one would imitate the greatness of the moment... So after watching the film and being asked what I thought...I spoke my mind and then came an argument...and then my GF's dad heard the argument and walked in to join my side and it was pretty funny...
Anyway
I guess the movie was interesting and fun to watch (Reallyyyyyy trippy)...but not really my cup of tea...

Yeah, I was excited about it, and was going to see it, but my mom (a Beatles fan - as am I) saw it first and said it was disappointing. So, I skipped it.
