Yes, it was a book before it was a movie. In fact, it was a very good book before it became a movie. (Not saying the movie isn't.)
I've only finished a couple of chapters. (I'm right where the man in black/Zorro dude/Westley and Inigo/the Spaniard fight.) It's ,at times ,one of the funniest things I've read. It is always exceedingly well written.
Has any one else read it? Or in the process of reading it?
Smiles, Luna

I read it! I loved it, too! There's supposed to be a sequel out next year, as well.

Huzzah! I have completed it in only one week! (Not as fast as Deathly Hallows but quick enough for me to say "Huzzah!")
Excellent story. The way Goldman keeps up two narratives (his notes on the 'abridgement' and the actual story) worked very well. I was going to read the hundred plus pages of extra stuff, but I found my self getting confused, so I stopped and began reading Flowers for Algernon and The Lightning Thief.

THE LIGHTENING THIEF!
Sorry.
We have the Princess Bride, but I've never read it. I can quote every line from the movie, though!

The Lightning Thief is for the win.
I loved this book! I thought it was hilarious, though I liked Miracle Max better in the movie.
