And by the way, Monsieur Marius, I think that I was a little bit in love with you.

Even though there is some discussion about this over in the "Have you read this book" thread (which I have, now!), I thought it would be neat to see how many people like each character. Furthermore, you can select up to five. Hopefully I didn't forget any favorites.

Lovely poll idea! And THANK YOU SO MUCH for not forgetting Montparnasse! Ah, how I love him! Interesting to see how we have none of the same votes... and that NOBODY LOVES ENJOLRAS!
It was a hard choice between Grantaire and Gavroche. I ended up picking Grantaire, but I actually like Gavroche better... I just felt Grantaire needed more sympathy. They're both hilarious, though. I love Marius, though I'm not sure why, because he's kind of a jerk... I guess he just reminds me so much of Jordan Potter. He's such a... nerd! And he takes himself so seriously! And I've always seen a lot of myself in Courfeyrac, except for the... sleeping around part. BUT GILLENORMAND IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST. He cracks me up.
I almost picked Thenardier, too, because I just love to hate him. He's so wonderfully, irritatingly horrible.

I remind myself of something between Combeferre and Jean Prouvaire. Thrandul and I remind me sometimes of Societé ABC.
Gillenormand is indeed, and you know I mentioned naming this one pair of socks "Mlle. Gillenormand"
In someways, too, I like Montparnasse (I made up a little song for him, in fact, for Valjean to sing...) but he's not my favorite.
Also, as I keep mentioning... (sigh) I got Courfeyrac and Combeferre confused due to the similarity in their names, so it was hard for me to know them...
