Dude she is not a "chic" she's a girl or a young woman...((That word always bothered me...)) Anyway...i agree with schemergo's view on the gay rights subject, the thing is that we cant say that gays can't marry because of the bible because of the seperation of church and state. The U.S has no one religion that everyone follows...

No, I'm saying they should get married, but they shouldn't REQUIRE churches to allow them to marry IN CHURCH, and I'm saying this BECAUSE of the separation of church and state. I don't think I was very clear the first time I said it.
And thank you for correcting Kane on the 'chick' thing. I've never liked that word, myself... then again, we all know I'm the Crows' Nest's resident feminist.

I dont have a problem with gay people, but if everyone were gay, the human race wud die out. O.O oh noez.
In all seriousness, I do believe marriage should be defined as union between a man and a woman. What is the reason behind this? It's kind of simple really. That's just how its supposed to be.
But wait, im not being fair right? Wrong. The reason I say "That's just how it's supposed to be." is because of quite simply, the human body! A man has a p3nis*. A woman has a v@gina*. And uh, unless you live under a rock, you know what those are used for. Two v@ginas do not create life. Neither do two p3nis's.
You might be laughing at my someone odd analogy ("haha he said P3NIS and V@GINA") but its the truth. There is a reason why those two parts of the body go together.
And yet, I dont have a problem with gay people. I just think marriage should be defined as union between a man and a woman. Kinda complicated really.
*= Apparently if I type those words out it comes up funny so yeah

Oookay! While this board morphs into the "Linkin Park Fanboy Buffet," I think I'll say something actually *gasp* on topic!
Well, I do have to say that I agree with Xero. What I was saying about gay marriage is that it's really more 'marriage' if it happens in church and more 'civil ceremony' if it happens in a courthouse, you know? But that might just be my opinion.
Now, the text under that avatar of yours says "That's where it came from. Dunno bout Xim." Well, he was originally Zim, but then he mentioned something about Cardinal Ximenez from the Spanish Inquisition (seen in his avatar), and I asked if he was going to call himself Xim for short. Annnnnd... that's how it happened. Whoot.
On a totally unrelated subject, did you know that in Finland, the main curse word means 'in the restaurant?' From now on, if I'm upset, I'll just type something like, "Today was horrible! In the restaurant!" It's verrry offensive, isn't it?

((This is a conversation between myself and now an ex friend I guess.....Anyway I've deleted the names because this was via e-mail and I believe most people on the site know this person Anyway this just happe ned with n the past few days w ord for word copied from the E-mail a nyway here it is)) Me: I'll do anything to protest for Gay/Les rights... X:WHAT? You want them to have rights? To get married? Are you joking? That is so sick and freakishly wrong I don’t know if I can talk to you anymore. Me: Listen "X"....We both have our own beliefs if we cant set them aside and talk to each other as human beings apposed to Democrats and Republicans then I don't think we should talk anymore...I'd hate to loose you as a friend but if politics are going to get in the way of our friendship and cause tension between the both of us then I don't know what to do...If you reply like these last few parts of the conversation never happened then thats fine with me and we can continue to talk as if this never happened... X: Sorry I cannot set aside my beliefs for the sake of our friendship. I think it is wiser to choose friends who share the same beliefs. Me: I guess this is it then...Farewell my freind... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ See this a friendship lost because of someone's devotion in a party that is trying to make life even more miserable for people who are already going through hardship...

i know u'all kindof drifted from the topic, but im political (see my post at Kingdom Hearts has COME! (even though its more anti-bush than political)) and MUST make my point. 1) i have ABSOLUTLY NOTHING against gays or lesbians. 2) i personally think they should do whatever makes them happy 3)there are relationships far, excuse me i have no other way to frase it, stranger. take angalena jole (ya ya, i spelt it wrong but u know who i mean) and her BROTHER or even BILLY BOB THORTON *BLECK* 4)the only restriction i feel they must consider is in that of adopting childeren. NOW WAIT, let me finnish. there is no doubt in my mind that they would raise their childeren with all the love they could, but childeren are crule and it may be hard on their kids in the non-home enviroment, ie. school. 5) they should be able to marry if they so chose. i mean, if a man and a woman can have rights of a marriage in a common-law marriage (where they live to gether for X amount of time but are not married), why cant gays or lesbians? i cant really think of any other points at the moment, but i bet u catch my drift
o, and kane, i forgive u, but u may have 2 grovel 2 the other girls

The gays, Les's, Bi's..etc...Are only the new Blacks... Are you kidding me? Gays are the new blacks? Did you really just say that? First of all, dont make it sound like a new trend. "gays are the new blacks" sounds like "pink is the new black" take it more seriously Second, you also tried to make a point about the "opressive white males" Are you kidding me? All you were trying to do was take a shot at white people. A lot of gay people ARE white males. "gay" is not a race, it is a preference. Third, gay people have not gone through half of what black people did. Black people were forced to use different facilities, go to different schools, work different jobs and were denied rights. Public places were not for their use. Gay people have not been through any of that. I've never seen a bathroom with a sign that says "Gay" on it. Saying gay people are "the new black people" is an insult to black people. Gay people CAN get married in some states, and still have rights. Black people were discriminated ALL OVER the country and had to fight for years for any rights. Try not to be so ignorant it really disturbed me when I read this.

ok,
1) though the fight for equal rights domestically is quiet important, and it is of major importance and should be adressed, at the moment, we are spending way to much time on it. dont get me wrong, i truly want equal rights and all, it's just i wish we were focusing more on the iraq war. many good men and women are givining life and limb to fight for out country, and we spend more time on the news covering celebreties. and if we spent as much time on them as we do on equality, i bet we could majorly help our troops. we might even be able to get some dragon skin to many troops. so, ya, we should focus on politics here at home, but we mustnt let it overshadow our good people overseas fighting to help us be able to keep the right to say what we want. for if they werent over there fighting for our rights now, we couldnt talk about extending our rights to protect more people later.
2) i personally believe that it is physically impossable to seperate church and state, so we shoud just drop it. your beliefs are your beliefs, political or religious. u cant just drop your beliefs because u leave a church, so ya.
3) one of the biggest things i dont get is how people say it is unchristian and against God to be gay, lesbian, or bi. isnt one of the founding beliefs of christianity that jesus and God love all people, and that people are equal in the eyes of jesus and God? i dont want to get into a religion war, so i apologize if this offends anyone, just puttin in my opinions as an outsider looking in. in judism, we have basically the same rules, infact the only real difference b/t judism and christianity is in the belief that jesus is the messiah, and in that i dont get y we can imbrace gays, lesbians, and bi's, but in christianity, it is majorly frowned appon.

i never really supported the war, infact, we invaded the wrong country, but what i am saying, as an army brat *hooah*, is though our "brillant" president got us into this mess, i think we must try our hardest to keep our people safe. dont get me wrong, i would love for our people to come home, many of my friends parents and some of my uncles have been or are in iraq, but i think it may end up being worse, and again, seeing as our "brillant" president is doing EVERYTHING *rolls eyes* he can to work out the war, we will be there for quiet a while. so though i would wish for our men and women to come home, at the moment i just want to make sure they are well taken care of
