Dunno, maybe the legality of showing the movie in public school. If that's in there i'm shcoked it made it past the school censors when they won't let us watch some Disney and other inoffensive movies in class. (Of which i cannot remember the names. Darn'it!)

Yeah, Romeo and Juliet has got some kind of lewd content. And we watched a documentary on the Holocaust as well, which shows loads of dead bodies and horrible images.
We watched "King Arthur" in history (the one with Keira Knightley wearing a leather warrior bikini as Guinevere), and I didn't think that was all that appropriate, either.

And I mean, we did Macbeth in fifth grade, and that's a bit intense for ten-year-olds. I was First Witch, Aku was Third Witch, Kloud was Lady Macbeth (because she's awesome), and Ashveen was The Bloody Child Spectre and... something else, I forget who. All I can remember is that he was General Rochambeau and the state of Delaware in our sixth-grade musical.

Why would you NOT like Frollo?
Macbeth's not particularly intense... at least the version we did wasn't... well, I didn't think so...
Yeah.

Come on, the protagonist is a murderous psychopath who cares about nothing but power, and his ghastly sociopath wife is even worse. And in true Shakespeare form, almost all of the main characters die. (The witches don't, though!)
Reread Macbeth. The version we did may have cut out some lines, but the plot was intact. Just reread it and see what I mean, or watch a film of it, and you'll be astonished by how graphic it is.

O.k...I'm bringing this back up...Aku has recently deleted some of my avi's because of the words sex and hell being used...If you were in that postion of power would you take that course of action? Why or why not?

I think I probably would... just because even if I was in charge of this site, Aku (and my parents) would still be offended. I'm sure my parents wouldn't want me to go to a website where profanity and stufff is used.

Heh... I love that show...
But we just keep going in circles on this thread! I'm not going to post on it anymore, just because everyone knows how argumentative I am.
Incidentally, if you make four more posts, you'll have 666! Boo-yah!

It's not exactly the words you used that bother me. It's the fact that they're there for shock value. Obviously, the goal of an avatar saying "sex, sex, sex, and don't forget the violence" is there to shock people, not as a necessary part of the point you're making. And the "hell" one didn't offend me, but it may have offended other people, so I trashed it.

O.K then it would be wrong to hit Xim.. . What's funny about that is that i'm probably much bigger than you and if you were to hit me i would defend myself and beat the cow (least offensive word I could think of...) out of you.... And I'm gonna be 15 in september, so you're not that much older than me, if you are...... Did i mention I'm a blackbelt? End of Conversation. I think it's hilarious when people act tough over the internet.

I'm pretty sure the goal of an avatar saying "sex, sex, sex, and don't forget the violence" was only there to be silly. Shock value? Does the word SEX shock you? VIOLENCE is shocking? I don't find any shock value in that. Just sillyness. And seeing as how this whole website thrives off of sillyness, I think it's kind of fitting actually.

I think it's hilarious when people act tough over the internet. Hey, is that a threat? You don't want to talk to me like that. My gang will get you next week. I've spent twelve years training with the finest ninjas in Japan and I can probably kill you with just my pinkie finger in fourteen thousand different ways. Watch it, buddy. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)
